Everyone has been affected by the events around the Covid 19 virus. In Burton Latimer lives have been lost and lives have been disrupted; we have all missed the ordinary day-to-day contacts with loved ones, friends and neighbours. Those who live alone have sometimes felt isolated.

Delighted to walk around and look at the shops that have decorated their windows for Christmas.

1st Prize of a bottle of Champagne to Taylor & King the Cleaners.

2nd Prize of a bottle of Prosecco to The Birdcage – Hairdressers.

3rd Prize of a Box of Chocolates to Corby Kilns.

Santa Visits to Burton Latimer

Cllr John Currall Town Mayor has asked Father Christmas if he could visit Burton Latimer residents. Santa has advised he will be able to attend on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th December between the times of 12pm-3pm and will be visiting all of the streets, he will be in attendance by two horse & ponies supplied by the charity Gee Gee's.

Town Mayor's appeal for help

Town Mayor John Currall is organising a collection point at St Mary's Primary School for food donations for Kettering Foodbank. The charity are providing much needed support to families struggling this year. If you can spare a couple of food items to donate, a box is placed outside of the main entrance to the school.

Christmas Light Switch On

On Friday 27th November 2020 at 7:30pm

Town Mayor John Currall will be switching on the Towns Christmas lights this will be done solo due to the current lockdown rules.

Residents are advised not to attend.

A recording will be made distanced to enable a live feed for residents to watch.

Road Closures

Dear All,

Northamptonshire Highways are intending on widening and resurfacing the roundabout on High Street, Finedon Road and Higham Road. To undertake this work safely will require that the roads approaching the roundabout will be closed for two days on the 12th and 13th December 2020.
