Bullet points of Town Council Meeting held Tuesday 7th September 2021
The Town Council are receiving a high number of complaints regarding the horses escaping into residential areas. They have contacted the owner of the horses & the land owner to find a resolution. The issue was discussed at the meeting and fellow landowners have advised that works are being undertaken to ensure the horses are not entering their fields as this is also an issue for them.
Works are being carried out on the UA29 footpath so the correct routes will be defined.
A new defibrillator is to be installed into the phone box on Cranford Road shortly, once complete a full list of locations of all defibrillators around the town will be published.
The Town Council would like to remind residents that the carpark behind the Harold Mason Centre is for patrons of the Harold Mason Centre and the Library, there are issues with users being unable to park to use the facilities. The Town Council are looking into options to ensure this is available to users.
A new bench will be installed at the cemetery, details of this will follow.
The Town Council have declared a Climate Change emergency and a committee is being formed to address this.
Arrangement's are underway for the Annual Christmas Light switch on event.
The Farmers Market is growing and is a real vibrant market. Any stall holders wishing to take part are encouraged to contact either the Town Clerk or Councillor Amanda Driver.
